- The principal activity of the Company is engaged in merchandising of second hand trucks vehicles and related spare parts. Linhon Machinery Sdn Bhd was founded by Mr. Tan Poo Tang as a truck spare parts company and established in 1979. Its core business is to import used Japanese made trucks and spare parts like engine, transmission, axles, boogies and literally any parts from a truck. The Company has a strong connection with around 20 suppliers in Japan, and due to the relationship it had built since long time ago, it will receive loads of spare parts every month constantly. Linhon Machinery has three ways of doing business for the parts only, which are: * Distribution to local dealers * Direct selling to End-users * Export to foreign countries In addition, Linhon Machinery also selling rebuilt trucks for domestic market to the dealers and end-users; and is very keen to export as well. Rebuilt trucks in Malaysia are very popular as these trucks are basically import as CKD(Complete Knocked Down) from Japan and thoroughly recondition it like service the engine, transmission and undercarriage as well as replace the new parts that is necessary. These trucks will eventually sell as “’new” or considered as a rebuilt trucks to the locals. The Company also import mixer trucks as CBU(Complete Build Up). This means that these trucks are import from Japan by Ro-Ro, which means the trucks will not be dismantle and load into containers. However, they are to be driven onto the vessels as is conditioned and will be send to port klang, Malaysia.
